Checking In

Hi there, it’s been a while since I checked in. IĀ  just wanted to let you know that I’m still here. I promise to post more frequently soon. To catch you up, here are some photos from Easter, and my failed attempt at a Passover dinner. When our schedules finally worked out to celebrate, it was the last day of Passover and my plan for Toojays to do most of the work fell through as they stopped serving their Holiday menu the day before šŸ˜¦ So disappointed!Ā  Instead, we just had dinner in the restaurant, and it was good. I love matzo ball soup, my new favorite!

We celebrated Easter with my family, with a fun Easter egg hunt for the kiddos. I helped color the eggs with them a couple of days before:

Each weekend, we have continued our new tradition of driving out to our home site and seeing the progress. It was so exciting to drive up and see walls!

I love this bench at the Oxford Exchange Gift Shop and would love to have one for our back yard:

Another thing I’m loving is the Ipsy Glam Bag. It’s one of those monthly subscriptions. The product you get is well worth much more than the $10 price tag. It’s the perfect way for a cosmetics junkie such as myself to get to try fun new products.

Here’s my first bag:

Everything in here is great. There is a Cailyn tinted lip balm, which at first I thought was much too bright of a pink for me, but a little bit dabbed on under a moisturizing balm acted like a lip tint and gave me a natural rosy glow.

There is also a tinted lip and cheek stain, Lollitint from Benefit. I love it for a quick bit of color on my lips and cheeks.

The City Color White Gold cream shadow works great as an eyeshadow base, eyeshadow color, or a highlighter. The color is very pretty. Bright with a hint of gold.

The black eyeliner is a good basic, and I plan to cut up the eyelashes and use a couple at a time for a more subtle look.

Can’t wait until my May bag!!! If you want to get in on the fun, click here (and I get points to get more fun stuff):

That’s all I have to update for now. Enjoy the rest of your week šŸ™‚

2013 Reflections, 2014 Goals

This has been the single best year of my life so far! And from where I sit, next year looks to be just as good. Let’s take a moment to reflect over the year, count our blessings in the Now, and ponder the greatness of the coming year, shall we?

I am so very grateful for this life God has blessed me with. I usually only write about the good stuff on here, and it’s a great way to acknowledge my blessings and be grateful. Of course there are hard times and challenges, but even through those I truly believe God has a great lesson built in there for me. I’m basking in all the Love bestowed upon me. Thank You.

As I look forward to 2014 I’m beyond excited for the possibilities it can hold. I’m kicking the year off right on a bucket list trip to Napa Valley šŸ™‚ When I get back it will be time to focus on some big goals for the new year. I’m going to call them goals rather than resolutions, because I’m pretty good at achieving my goals. Just for fun, let’s set 14 goals for 2014.

Goal 1:

Start a family. This makes me so excited and nervous all in one. I finally found the love of my life and want so much to have a little family together.

Goal 2:

Buy a house.

Goal 3:

Build a new career. I don’t think life should stop with a baby, and I am excited to build a new career.

Goal 4:

Get a new car. It’s just time.

Goal 5:

Do more yoga.

Goal 6:

Do a barre fitness class.

Goal 7:

Do pilates.

Goal 8:

Run a race.

Goal 9:

Floss my teeth everyday. This one is going to be hard. I’m really bad about it šŸ˜¦ We better just say every other day, that will be an improvement to my once a month. Or, how about once a week? šŸ˜‰ Let’s go with that for now.

Goal 10:

Monthly dates with my girl friends. You know who you are.

Goal 11:

Eat at the Elevage Restaurant at the Epicurean Hotel in Tampa.

Goal 12:

Attend more blogger functions.

Goal 13:

Visit family in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Goal 14:

Focus on balance in all areas of my life.

I wish you all a healthy,Ā  blessed New Year filled with positivity, love and light. Happy New Year!!!!!!
