Rainy Productive Sunday

I worked hard this week! Building a new career/business is exciting and exhausting! I’m trying to learn how to balance it all with eating healthy , exercising, and being a single mama. Everyday is a working day for a Realtor, especially a new one building their business, but today I really needed to get some neglected house work done. I started my day with a cup of coffee and some moments in gratitude:

And then I tackled my house. I deep cleaned and did all the laundry. It feels so good. Everything is done, so tomorrow when I pick up my girlie, I can give her my undivided attention.

I was able to scrape up some lunch from the fridge and freezer before heading to the grocery store for a much needed stock up.

I got home from the grocery store late afternoon and did a few more chores and some work and finally decided to sit down and relax with some wine and cheese. I love trying new kinds of cheese. This is a Havarti the guy at Publix recommedned:

I made my meal plan for the week:

Today: Salmon with brussel sprouts

Monday: Turkey, burgers, corn on the cob, baked beans and salad

Tuesday: Taco salad

Wednesday: Swordfish topped with bruschetta and salad

Thursday: Leftovers

Friday: Pizza

I also plan to food prep with my daughter tomorrow by making a veggie tray, hard boiled eggs, and a coffee cake (one of my favorite things to bake with her).

Dinner tonight:

It is Sunday night,my girlie has been with her dad for a week (the longest time we have been apart), events of my life have been challenging (to say the least) for the past couple of years, the world has gone completely crazy, yet I am hopeful as we enter a new week. There is so much that needs to be resolved, and my Faith is as strong as ever. I try very hard to always focus on the positive and I find my strength in God.

Wining and Dining

Guys, I have been wined and dined for a week! I am a lucky girl! I have had some amazing food.  I didn’t even capture everything I have enjoyed the past week but I will post the highlights, including two of the top ten things I have eaten. Chef Hope’s crab cakes benedict:

and Ulele’s charbroiled oysters;

The oysters are amazing, and I had a salad and pompano with a yummy red pepper cream sauce and crispy carrot ribbons that were delicious:

And they brought us some complimentary truffles:

Then tonight, I had an impromptu girls night out with one of my dearest friends Rachel at Bern’s! I haven’t been there in over 5 years I think! It was outstanding!

I have also enjoyed a dinner at out Salt Rock tavern where they had an amazing stuffed grouper for only $15! I highly recommend it!!!

Safe to say I have had more than my fair share of eating out. I have thoroughly enjoyed and savored every meal, but now it is time to get back in balance and back to eating healthy. My daughter has been with her dad for the whole week, so I have been working a lot to build my real estate business, and am trying to keep myself distracted. I miss her terribly.

I am off to bed early tonight. Time to recharge and reset. Good night!
