38 Weeks Pregnant

Here I am at the end of my pregnancy and suddenly there are some things I feel like I need to write down so I don’t forget. The good, the bad, and ugly!

My first trimester was really hard on me. Despite the fact that I was over the moon excited to be pregnant, the morning sickness was the worst thing I have ever experienced. It started just shy of 6 weeks pregnant and lasted for months! It was constant, 24 hours a day nausea. That feeling must have lasted until around week 14-15, then it eased a bit during the day and hit hard in the evening and finally throwing up every single night right before bed until about week 19-20. I didn’t start feeling really good until about week 22-23.

The second half of my pregnancy has been much better. And this last trimester has been the best by far. I’m uncomfortable, but I haven’t experienced many of the late pregnancy symptoms I have heard about.

Cravings: These are items I have craved throughout this pregnancy, not all necessarily at one time: Mandarin oranges, blt’s, Mexican food, ice cream, lime sherbet, coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, comfort foods like meatloaf and stuffed peppers, salt and vinegar potato chips, orange juice, milk, jolly ranchers, sweetarts, lemon heads.

Food Aversions: Nothing at the moment but in the beginning chicken, onions, garlic, melted cheese, broccoli, many vegetables.

Weight Gain: 43

Best Moments: Confirmation of pregnancy, gender ultrasound, baby showers, nesting, by far the best has been feeling her move. That may be the one thing I ever miss about being pregnant.

Worst Moments: Morning sickness

Can’t wait to: Go running, sleep on my back, eat sushi, feel comfortable, drink the wine…All. The. Wine!!!

A couple of days ago, Matt’s co workers threw him a surprise baby shower. He didn’t know I was going to be there. It was great!IMG_9816 IMG_9826 IMG_9847 IMG_9859

I can’t believe our little girl will be here in just days!!!!!!
