Another beautiful wedding this past weekend. The couple used all fresh flowers for the decor. Navy seems to be the new “it” color and it’s so versatile. It goes with just about any color combo you can dream up. In this wedding we used it with splashes of hot pink and lime green and it looked fantastic. We used three different styles of centerpieces, and they all worked together beautifully.
There was a cigar roller.
Alta did an amazing job with fresh petals at the aisle.
Saturday night was pretty low-key. I’m still adjusting to wedding season. It poops me out! I sat on the couch most of the evening and made a simple Cajun shrimp pasta for dinner:
Cajun Shrimp Pasta:
– 1 pound peeled and deveined shrimp
– 1 clove garlic minced
-half red, yellow and orange peppers sliced.
-half red onion sliced
-half of a tomato sliced
-1 T Cajun seasoning
-1/4 cup fat-free half and half
– 2 T grated parmesan cheese
-whole wheat spaghetti noodles
Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, and cook in olive oil with garlic until pink, about 3 minutes. Remove from pan. Add peppers and onions, and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Add tomato and cook for 2 minutes. Add half and half and cheese cook for 1 minute. Add noodles, toss and serve. Fast, delicious and easy!
Sunday morning I woke up early and went for a run. Running is very slowly starting to turn from torture to pleasure again. It helps that the weather is just a little cooler in the mornings. Yay!
After my run, I cleaned up and went to see my sister, niece and nephew. We played and went to the park:
Then had ice cream:
Then in the afternoon, Matt and I grabbed a late lunch/early dinner at Sweet Tomatoes:
And did our grocery shopping for the week.
Another successful weekend 🙂
