Moving and Settling In

It’s finally done. Phew!!! I have a few loose ends to tie up, but I’m moved into our new place for the most part and mostly unpacked.  I still need to go back to the old apartment and sell my dining room furniture (no room here, even though my new place is bigger, weird!), and I need to clean and turn in my keys.  I also need to turn in my cable box and change my address with a couple more places.

The move didn’t go as smoothly as planned, we had a 2:00 start time on Saturday, they called and said they were running a few hours behind.  I made the call to reschedule to Sunday morning.  I couldn’t imagine the movers tackling my 3rd floor apartment with no elevator after a full day move already.  I’m glad I made that decision, because it ended up taking 8 hours on Sunday. Yikes, I’m broke!!! Anyone in the market for dining room furniture:

The kitties are settling in nicely too;

They have all ventured up to the loft, and Squiggy has jumped up on the half wall and scared the crap outta me, but thankfully, they don’t seem to be too crazy about being up there, and I’m starting to relax and trust them.

I have only been to my new apartment gym once and it’s nice.  I”m excited to have found a great spot to run only 2 miles from my place is a secret little beach in the middle of Tampa called Cypress Point Park.  It has a .9 mile asphalt trail and a beach and picnic area.  It’s a great spot to see the planes from Tampa Airport take off.  I can’t wait to take my babies there!!!

I finally went to the grocery store today, I have been living off of Chinese food and champagne, no complaints there 😉

Today I stocked up on some fruits and veggies and tested out my new stove with an easy meal of lemon pepper chicken, veggies and a baked potato:

This move has been a challenge to say the least.  And honey had to fly to New York today:(  I’m looking forward to him getting back and us settling into a routine and adjusting to our new lives together.

Only 3 more weeks until wedding season starts. Where has the summer gone!!!! ??? I’m looking foward to it though.  Good times ahead 🙂
