Wined and Dined

Thursday is the new Friday. I got to use one of my Groupons at Bin27 last night. I was talked into trying the soft shell crab appetizer:

I was wary about eating that shell, and where are the eyes? But it was pretty good. I would eat it again.

For dinner:

Seared Ahi tuna, over plaintains, and couscous and topped with avacado:

And…Shrimp and scallops with Isearli couscous, feta cheese, olives,artichokes, and either tomatoes or red peppers, that part was debatable. This dish was my favorite of the two, both were very good. Not quite Applebees, but good none the less 😉

After a quick stop at the carnival, we headed to Seasons 54 or 52 (which one is it?) for dessert. Check out the selection of dessert shots:

Oh my, they all look amazing. We decided on the carrot cake and chocolate peanut butter mousse.

Carrot cake was delicious, but the chocolate peanut butter mousse was eyes rolling in the back of the head kind of good!!! Everything was perfect!

Some Things Are Worth It

Ahhhh days off! Laundry… done, cleaning… (well as good as it’s going to get) done, great workout…done,nap…done,cooking and baking…done.

I ate way too many of these babies:

I also cooked up a big batch of brown rice, chicken in the crock pot, and hard-boiled eggs. I’m set for meals for a week.

Breakfast was a green smoothie of course. Lunch was fabulous:

Salad and ham and swiss squashed to melty perfection on the George Foreman.

Dinner was mostly cinnamon donut muffins followed by a late night trip to Applebees. I know, this is supposed to be a health food blog, right? Well some things things are just worth it! And I’m sure I burned enough calories laughing all night so I’m good 🙂
